Unknown Aurthor, must read

I have been blessed so many times that this story brought tears to my eyes reminding me of all the time my Heavenly Father has blessed me. He will continue to bless me because He is my Father and He loves me. He has a plan and purpose for me, to prosper me and to not harm me.

**************************************************

In September 1960, I woke up one morning with six hungry babies and just 75 cents in my pocket.

Their father was gone..

The boys ranged from three months to seven years; their sister was two.

Their Dad had never been much more than a presence they feared.

Whenever they heard his tires crunch on the gravel driveway they would scramble to hide under their beds.

He did manage to leave $15 a week to buy groceries.

Now that he had decided to leave, there would be no more beatings, but no food either.

If there was a welfare system in effect in southern Indiana at that time, I certainly knew nothing about it.

I scrubbed the kids until they looked brand new and then put on my best homemade dress, loaded them into the rusty old 51 Chevy and drove off to find a job..

The seven of us went to every factory, store and restaurant in our small town.

No luck.

The kids stayed crammed into the car and tried to be quiet while I tried to convince who ever would listen that I was willing to learn or do anything. I had to have a job.

Still no luck. The last place we went to, just a few miles out of town, was an old Root Beer Barrel drive-in that had been converted to a truck stop.

It was called the Big Wheel.

An old lady named Granny owned the place and she peeked out of the window from time to time at all those kids.

She needed someone on the graveyard shift, 11 at night until seven in the morning.

She paid 65 cents an hour, and I could st art that night.

I raced home and called the teenager down the street that baby-sat for people.

I bargained with her to come and sleep on my sofa for a dollar a night.

She could arrive with her pajamas on and the kids would already be asleep

This seemed like a good arrangement to her, so we made a deal.

That night when the little ones and I knelt to say our prayers, we all thanked God for finding Mommy a job.. And so I st art ed at the Big Wheel..

When I got home in the mornings I woke the baby-sitter up and sent her home with one dollar of my tip money– fully half of what I averaged every night.

As the weeks went by, heating bills added a strain to my meager wage.

The tires on the old Chevy had the consistency of penny balloons and began to leak. I had to fill them with air on the way to work and again every morning before I could go home..

One bleak fall morning, I dragged myself to the car to go home and found four tires in the back seat. New tires!

There was no note, no nothing, just those beautiful brand new tires.

Had angels taken up residence in Indiana ? I wondered.

I made a deal with the local service station.

In exchange for his mounting the new tires, I would clean up his office.

I remember it took me a lot longer to scrub his floor than it did for him to do the tires.

I was now working six nights instead of five and it still wasn’t enough.

Christmas was coming and I knew there would be no money for toys for the kids .

I found a can of red paint and st art ed repairing and painting some old toys. Then I hid them in the basement so there would be something for Santa to deliver on Christmas morning.

Clothes were a worry too. I was sewing patches on top of patches on the boys pants and soon they would be too far gone to repair.

On Christmas Eve the usual customers were drinking coffee in the Big Wheel. There were the truckers, Les, Frank, and Jim, and a state trooper named Joe.

A few musicians were hanging around after a gig at the Legion and were dropping nickels in the pinball machine.

The regulars all just sat around and talked through the wee hours of the morning and then left to get home before the sun came up.

When it was time for me to go home at seven o’clock on Christmas morning, to my amazement, my old battered Chevy was filled full to the top with boxes of all shapes and sizes.

I quickly opened the driver’s side door, crawled inside and kneeled in the front facing the back seat..

Reaching back, I pulled off the lid of the top box.

Inside was whole case of little blue jeans, sizes 2-10!

I looked inside another box: It was full of shirts to go with the jeans.

Then I peeked inside some of the other boxes. There was candy and nuts and bananas and bags of groceries. There was an enormous ham for baking, and canned vegetables and potatoes.

There was pudding and Jell-O and cookies, pie filling and flour. There was whole bag of laundry supplies and cleaning items.

And there were five toy trucks and one beautiful little doll.

As I drove back through empty streets as the sun slowly rose on the most amazing Christmas Day of my life, I was sobbing with gratitude.

And I will never forget the joy on the faces of my little ones that precious morning.

Yes, there were angels in Indiana that long-ago December. And they all hung out at the Big Wheel truck stop.

THE POWER OF PRAYER. I believe that God only gives three answers to prayer:

1. ‘Yes!’
2. ‘Not yet.’
3! ‘I have something better in mind.’

God still sits on the throne, and the devil is a liar.

You may be going through a tough time right now but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that you cannot imagine.

My instructions were to pick four people that I wanted God to bless, and I picked you.

Pass this to at least four people you want to be blessed and a copy back to me.

This prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards

Let’s continue to pray for one another. Here is the prayer:

Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and email buddies reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power.

Let it be so.

When satan Lies To You

Where God loves you unconditionally, satan hates unconditionally. Especially if you believe in God and Jesus Christ. God created mankind as benevolent beings, being able to think, decide, process information, and then incorporate that into our lives. Whether you believe in God or you do not believe in God, or take the Agnostic stance; God still loves you. The total and complete definition of unconditional love.

God is not going to force you to love Him or anyone else, God is not going to force you to believe in Him. God has the power to make you do anything He wants, He has the power to do anything He wishes. But, He will not control your mind, He will not enter your physical body unless invited, He will not walk with you unless you first invite Him to.

The point I am trying to make here is satan WILL enter your mind uninvited, satan WILL make decisions for you by swaying you away from the truth. Satan WILL enter your physical body, uninvited, and make you do, say, and think evil. You do not even have to ask, satan is always there.

You have to realize when you feel a void inside of yourself, that is the sign God is not residing there. When God is not there, you can be assured that satan or a demon is there. Just waiting for it’s chance to pounce, make you say something that will get you into trouble, and then laugh at you. There are times I feel turmoil inside myself, the fight of good and evil raging inside my body. To the point I begin to doubt to myself, I begin to doubt my actions, I begin to doubt what I can do, I begin to doubt the gift God gave me. I begin to think that everything I touch just turns to ashes. Why do I make a decision? because whatever decision I make will be incorrect, even if I make the correct decision it will somehow be manipulated into being wrong. How do fight this? GOD, JESUS CHRIST

Work hard, do the the very best you can, stay focused on God, use the gifts God gave you and never doubt them, never doubt your abilities or yourself. Trust God to give you the motivation you need and desire, trust God in your decisions, trust that God will be right by your side in normal life and that He will carry you through the times you just cannot cope with.

There will be people in this life who will try their best to break your focus, they will try to make you into someone you are not, they will ask you to do things that you may feel are unethical, or could possiblly hurt your reputation. You have to make the decision to whether or not you are willing to hurt yourself for someone else’s reputation, or refuse because of your ideologies. I choose to follow God and the teachings in the Holy Bible. You will meet many serpents in this world today, just like the serpent that Eve met in the Garden of Eden. They will try to trick you into feeling worthless, they will try to trick you into feeling depressed, the serpent has strong powers, stronger than you yourself possess, but, not stronger than God. When you feel the world caving in on you, pray! Seek, Ask, and you will Find, as long as you do it in God’s name. If you need counsel make sure you get it from a spiritual person, not just anyone. This is the way of satan, always stalking you, always looking for a way into your heart and your life. Do not fall to tempation, I know it is hard because we live in an “Instant Gratification” society. Satan will bankrupt you if you let him, and then he will take great joy in doing so. Keep your focus on our Father, He will never lead you astray, He will lead down the road of life, and will steer you clear of the road to death.

Obstacles and problems will come and try to test your relationship with God. Some of these are set by satan and others are by God, just see how faithful you really are. If you can look into the eyes of diversity, strife, and hardship and never ever lose your resolve in walking with God and following the teachings of the Holy Bible, God’s true Word, then you will come out unscathed on the other side. And feeling better than ever.

Satan lies, God is truth. Follow the truth, you will not regret it, follow God.

If you feel you have not been saved by God, that you are missing something in your life, if you feel a great void inside of you something that Alcohol or Drugs cannot fill, then please try God.

I pray that God touches each and everyone of you, whether a believer or not. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ that today your life is changed and that you are given and accept the greatest gift, life. I pray that God would free you of all your transgressions, and if you are going through a crisis right now I pray that Jesus Christ is there to carry you and that you let Him carry you through it. Because he that believes in Jesus Christ shall have all sins forgiven and shall have eternal life. Lord I ask this in Jesus’ Name for all who read this today.

Amen

Have a great day!

Living Consistently

It is so hard, these days, to live your life consistently on a daily basis.  There are so many outside forces we have to adapt to as a person of God.  You have the option the believe or not to believe that God is your creator, that God created all things, that God gave you what you have right now; whether that be material possessions or faith.  You know there was study done several years ago about why people believe in God.  In that scientific study it was determined that everyone possesses a need to feel that there is something “out there” that will make them feel better about situations they come across in life.  In other words, people want to feel good, people do not strive to feel bad or feel nothing.

What happens when someone dear to you becomes ill?  Or going further, when that person dies early in life, or is taken by cancer or some other disease?  Do you, as a believer, believe that this was God’s Will, that this person was predestined to die at this point and time?  Or do you have misgivings about that person, “well he lived hard and did not care about what he put in his body, that is why he died”.

People are looking for a way to not have to think about death, bad things that happen to them, and they seek comfort in knowing or at the very least believing there is an entity out there who cares for us and loves us all.  I am here to tell you that there is no such thing as coincidences in sickness and diease, there is no such thing as someone dying from a disease that just happens to get well and shows no more signs of disease.  Medical practitioners can probably tell you numerous cases where their patients were diagnosed with a death sentence, and are still alive today.  How can that be?  Are these doctors failing in their duties? Are these doctor’s better than think they are?

Step back and really think about it, I know there are many of you who have had great loss of life in your live’s, I know because I am one of those people.  My Mom died of cancer three years ago this month, her parents lived well into there 90’s and she died at age 71, from a disease that we have no cure for.  So I know how these people will respond to what I am writing.  I prayed, I begged, I did everything I knew to do for my Mom but, to no avail.  I became angry, I became distanced from religion.  I was so angry for so long that I even suffered a nervous breakdown, and had to be put on medicines.  It was not until I felt God, Jesus Christ, entry my body again that I became sane.  If you are sitting out there reading this and you are thinking “how did you feel Jesus Christ enter your life? He has never entered mine! I have not felt His presence”.  Maybe that is because you have never allowed him in.  Jesus Loves you so much that He will do whatever your heart desires, if you have any disdain in your heart about Him, He’s not coming in.  But, if you will open a bible and read, it does not matter where you open a bible just open it and start reading on the page you open it to, and do this until this disdain, this unbelief starts to back down, starts to leave your mind and your body you will feel Him.  You will feel Him in your heart, in your body, all over, you will start to do things that you never thought you would ever do in your entire life.  Who knows you may even want to go church.

If you have tried different things to fill that void, that hole in your body; and I know it is there.  You have tried, pills, alcohol, tobacco, porn, or maybe all of the above and you have found that void is still there, please just try God, He’s the best drug you can ever take, and most definately the highest high you will ever have.

Do something different today!  Believe!

What is Evil? And how does it take hold?

Have you noticed, in the Bible, that God refers to evil in straight forward terms? The Bible is filled with many parables to get the point or lesson across, but, when referring to evil God ‘straight talks’ it. Why would this be? Could it be that evil is not material or flesh, but an entity? Is evil greater than Satan? Is it a force that manifests itself in human beings, to promote it’s full intentions? One thing I know is that as long as God is in your heart, evil has no way to get in. Evil needs an open door, or a willingness on the part of the receiver to take it in. I do not believe that people, in general, are born predestined to evil, it is something more sinister than that. We can look through history and say Hitler was evil, Stalin was evil, Osama Bin Laden is evil, but, what got them to that point? Any belief that promotes hatred toward any other human being is the open door evil is looking for. Why do you think the Bible says “Love thy neighbor, as thou loves thyself”? If you love your neighbor, meaning any and every other human being on this earth, evil does not have a door to pass through. Evil is not welcome in your life.

Do you think that you can welcome evil into your life as a form of power, revenge, or hatred and think that evil will not do evil things to you; just because you are it’s host? You have heard “You are what you eat”, the same goes for you are what you believe, you are what you practice to be, and you are nothing if you believe in nothing.

I hear people say I am Agnostic because I have not seen or felt the presence of an all consuming entity, one who loves me unconditionally, and is because He is. That is an open door evil is looking for. You say you do not believe in God; and for that matter you do not believe in anything. In saying that you do believe in something. You believe yourself to be a non-believer; you are opening that door for evil to enter, and run your life, your guard is down that is what evil likes, it does not like to be challenged; it wants freedom to perform things on you that will turn you into someone you thought you could not become, because you believe in ‘ nothing’.

Just remember you are what you believe, if you do not believe you have no hope, low outlook on yourself, and are an open door to evil.

Prayer to Live with Grace

May we discover through pain and torment,
the strength to live with grace and humor.
May we discover through doubt and anguish,
the strength to live with dignity and holiness.
May we discover through suffering and fear,
the strength to move toward healing.
May it come to pass that we be restored to health and to vigor.
May Life grant us wellness of body, spirit, and mind.
And if this cannot be so, may we find in this transformation and passage
moments of meaning, opportunities for love
and the deep and gracious calm that comes
when we allow ourselves to move on.

Sword of the Spirit

the-sword-of-the-spiritTonight I’ll finish up on God’s Armor. This what the Sword of the Spirit might look like. But actually the Sword is God’s Word. The Word of God is pure, there are no lies contained in His word. You can trust that when you pick up your Bible and read it t everything in it is the truth. There is so much in the Bible that pertains to your daily life, and God’s word will always protect you. God’s Word counters everything a non-believer or non-Christian has ever told you. God’s word counters all deceptions and all accusations made against Him.

God’s Word, the Bible, has great power over all that is evil, and one of the greatest pieces of God’s Armor. You can depend on it in your daily lives, and if you carry it with you and read it daily will protect you. As you read the Word of God it will start to make an impact on you and your life, you will look at people differently, and you will be successful in whatever you set out to do. If you are still trying to find yourself, or are confused about what your role in this precious life really is, God’s Word will answer those questions for you. I was like some of you out there, who are not sure what your true calling is, or that if there really is a God. I understand that , however, if you will give God’s Word a chance you too will see the truth.

Hebrews 4:12

12- For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are.

In this day there is so much temptation, and as I said in an earlier entry, Satan is at work in this world very hard. Satan is using modern technology to turn brother against brother, friend against friend, and nation against nation. You can turn on the television at any given time and see what Satan is doing in this world. And folks it is sad to say, in some parts of this world he seems to be winning. But, listen to me and listen good Satan could not tempt Christ because knew the Word, Christ carried God’s sword and used it on many occasions to ward off Satan. You know what, when Satan figured out that he could not win over Christ he would give up and leave. This why God’s word is so important to you. when Satan is tempting you to drink, to do drugs, or do anything else, ask the question “What good would doing this do for God?”.

Matthew 4:2-11

2- For forty days and forty nights he ate nothing and became very hungry. 3- Then the Devil[a] came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, change these stones into loaves of bread.”

4- But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People need more than bread for their life; they must feed on every word of God.’ “

5 – Then the Devil took him to Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, 6- and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say, `He orders his angels to protect you. And they will hold you with their hands to keep you from striking your foot on a stone.’ “
7- Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, `Do not test the Lord your God.'”

8- Next the Devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him the nations of the world and all their glory. 9- “I will give it all to you,” he said, “if you will only kneel down and worship me.”

10- “Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, `You must worship the Lord your God; serve only him.'”
11- Then the Devil went away, and angels came and cared for Jesus.

Look closely at the scripture, above. Christ was not tempted by Satan; because He carried the Sword; the truth. Satan knew that what Christ was telling him was the truth, and because it was the truth, Satan had no where to go but, away. You can do the same thing. Folks I was called to go to attend Church this morning, and man oh man was Satan working on me hard not to go, the kids were grumpy, nothing seemed to work out as planned this morning, but I prayed for me and my family and asked God to Bless us because, I knew we needed to be there. I listened to a speaker, Greg Vaughn, this man wrote a book entitled “Letters From Dad”, and Wow he made an impact on me. Mr. Vaughn made several points to the congregation that I truly believe in and had already implemented in my life. See, through the Word of God I understood that prayer will always make a difference. Mr. Vaughn said, in his Sermon, that as long as you have a breath to the breathe, you can make a change in your life. Is that not so true, so true that most of us do not even think like that. We think, “Well this is what I was born to be, or I will never amount to anything because this is the way I am”, I hear this stuff all the time. It is not true, all that is, is Satan working on you and Satan is winning if you believe him. Take up the Sword of God, carry it where ever you go, read it daily and believe in it. And when Satan comes to you and tries to tempt you, pull out that sword and fight back. The Bible is more than a book, more than words just written down for your reading enjoyment. The Bible is true, every single syllable in it. Whatever you do in life, never be afraid of what someone is going think about you for being a Christian.

1 Peter 3:15

15- Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if you are asked about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it.

By reading the Bible, is how you explain it. Folks, there is something that has always bothered me; why is it that if you walk up to a group of people and open a novel and start reading it, someone might ask you what are you reading? And you return with this new book by such and such. But if you walk to that same group of people and you open the Bible, chances are some of those people are going to get uncomfortable, some will think; “Oh my we have a Bible thumper sitting with us”, what’s wrong with that? I tell you what is wrong with that, non-believers are afraid of the Bible. Why? Because the Bible carries with it Power! The Bible is the Sword of the Spirit, and some will have nothing to do with you, you may even be asked to explain yourself. Well, explain it. Do not be afraid of them, they are just people.

Psalms 119:110-112

110- The wicked have set their traps for me along your path, but I will not turn from your commandments.

111- Your decrees are my treasure; they are truly my heart’s delight.

112- I am determined to keep your principles, even forever, to the very end.

People pray with your children, pray for your children, and do not be embarrassed to pray with your family. If you have a child who is going through some tough times at school, at work, or just in life, take time to pray with them. And teach them that the Bible is God’s sword. Lift them up, praise them, and like Greg Vaughn says in his book “Write your children a letter”.

I pray that you all have God’s Armor now, The Belt of Truth, The Breastplate of Righteousness, The Sandals of Peace, The Shield of Faith, The Helmet of Salvation, and most of all The Sword of the Spirit; God’s Word. And as I pray tonight, I pray that everyone who reads these messages finds in their hearts something new, I pray that the void you have been trying fill with alcohol, drugs, or whatever is now filled with the one and only thing that can fill it, the Holy Spirit; Jesus Christ. I pray that your Monday will be great! You are now outfitted in your new suit of armor, and there is nothing to fear, for you are protected. If you have reservations about believing, please give God’s word a try, it cannot hurt anything. Just pick up His Word and read it, you might learn something you did not know about yourself.

God Bless you all!

Helmet of Salvation

helmet The helmet of Salvation may look something like this. This helmet represents Salvation through Christ today and forever.

Psalms 16

1- Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge.

2- I said to the LORD, “You are my Master! All the good things I have are from you.”

3- The godly people in the land are my true heroes! I take pleasure in them!

4- Those who chase after other gods will be filled with sorrow. I will not take part in their sacrifices or even speak the names of their gods.

5- LORD, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine.

6- The land you have given me is a pleasant land. What a wonderful inheritance!

7- I will bless the LORD who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me.

8- I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

9- No wonder my heart is filled with joy, and my mouth shouts his praises! My body rests in safety.

10- For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your godly one to rot in the grave.

11- You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

The helmet of salvation is designed to protect you in the daily battles you face in life. As a believer you need to pray and thank God for giving this to you. With this helmet God promises of daily and eternal salvation in Jesus Christ.

Psalms 23

1- The LORD is my shepherd; I have everything I need.

2- He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.

3- He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.

4- Even when I walk through the dark valley of death, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.

5- You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You welcome me as a guest, anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.

6- Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever.

Remember this scripture, memorize it and repeat it every time you feel out of your element, or you feel threatened. You should also remember this; If the Lord brings you to it, He will bring you through it. The Lord is true to His Word, He does not lie because He incapable of doing so, understand that God created everything you see around you, everything we know as reality. The Lord will bring you to things, during your life, that you will have a hard time comprehending why. It is not our place to question God, it is our place to read His word and to live our lives as He would have us live.

Hebrews 1:3-6

3- The Son reflects God’s own glory, and everything about him represents God exactly. He sustains the universe by the mighty power of his command. After he died to cleanse us from the stain of sin, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God of heaven.

Christ Is Greater Than the Angels

4- This shows that God’s Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is far greater than their names. 5- For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus: “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.” And again God said, “I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.”

6- And then, when he presented his honored Son to the world, God said, “Let all the angels of God worship him.”

You see through Jesus Christ anything can be done. Anything can be comprehended, and remember Christ knows you better than you know yourself. He will never ask you to do anything He knows you are incapable of doing, but if you believe in Him you are capable of anything. That may sound funny to you now, however, be patient He will show Himself to you and tell you what He expects from you. Just remember what I said earlier: “Whatever He brings you to, He will bring you through it”. Life in Christ is a test of your faith, there will be times in your life where you will question, mine was when my mom died. My mom was the most caring, loving person I knew. When she was diagnosed with Non-Hogkins Lymphoma, in August of 1996, I started asking why. Why Lord are you doing this? It took me along time to realize that the answer was not supernatural but earthly. There was something that my mom did every week no matter what, dyed her hair. After my mom had died I was surfing the Internet and out of the blue this obscure article came up on a page that I do not think I even clicked on, but the article told of how certain types of hair dyes had been linked to Non-Hogkins Lymphoma. I stopped, and said Thank you Lord. And I am sorry I doubted You. See, we are all only human, and we are children to the Lord; His children. When we cannot answer why, what do we normally do? Curse? Take the Lord’s name in vain? If you are patient enough and listen close enough He will answer your questions.

Salvation through Jesus Christ is not just while you are in this life, it for eternity.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

6- That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 17- For our present troubles are quite small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever! 18- So we don’t look at the troubles we can see right now; rather, we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.

I pray that you have a wonderful Thursday, and do not forget to wear the Helmet of Salvation tomorrow. Christ loves you and has promised you an eternity of Salvation, take Him up on it. You will not find a better deal, anywhere.

God Bless you!

Shield of Faith

Can you picture a shield; a shield that is impenetrable, a shield that is embellished with gold and silver; the most fantastic looking shield you have ever seen. This is what the shield of faith is made up of. The shield of faith is made up of the faith you have in God; because through God anything is possible. No matter how hard, you think, the task is that God picks for you He will make it happen. I am a good example of this, just a few years ago I would have never thought that God would have called me to start this blog, and tell to you what I have learned, and what I have experienced in my life, at that time in my life I probably would have just laughed, and said “How could a man, such as myself, help others to find you?”.

Romans 4:18-21

18- When God promised Abraham that he would become the father of many nations, Abraham believed him. God had also said, “Your descendants will be as numerous as the stars,”even though such a promise seemed utterly impossible! 19- And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though he knew that he was too old to be a father at the age of one hundred and that Sarah, his wife, had never been able to have children.

20– Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. 21- He was absolutely convinced that God was able to do anything he promised.

Just think God told Abraham he would father children, at his age, and there would be more children of Abraham than stars in the sky. What would you say to that? Something like there is not enough Viagra in the world to make that happen? Or would you do as Abraham did and believe that you can anything through God; all you need is faith.

Some of you may read this and say What is faith? In today’s world it is very difficult to have faith in anyone. You can look around you today and see so many beliefs that have nothing to with God but, people believe in these things because they have nothing else to believe in, people are lost; wandering around this life aimlessly looking for themselves, looking for something that is real. Looking for answers to questions that no man can answer, what is the meaning of life? Why do we have so much hate and anger in this world? Why do people remember the bad things, more easily than they remember the good things? Our doctors and scientists find cures for sickness, however, two more take their place. Why?
Hebrews 11:1

1- What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see.

It is easy to believe in a tree, a car, a dog, a house, in money, and so on because we can see and hold these things in our hands. We can touch them, feel them, hear them. But, how do you have faith in something you can not do any of these things with? I know many of you are saying that is a good question and would you be so kind as to answer that one for me? My answer to you is yes, I will answer it for you. God. Jesus Christ. But that did not answer my question! Folks, I am faithful because of things that have happened to me over several years. As I started growing in Christ and reading the Holy Bible, and learning what God is offering, I said OK; let me study this and then put it into practice. I approached my faith with an open mind, with no preconceived notions. I started my journey by reading a little about what history says the way people lived in the time Christ walked this earth. After a little research I found that the people of Biblical times faced many of the questions we have today. They were not unlike you and I, and then I started reading the Bible, then I started praying and felt changes in my life start, subtle at first then, out of the blue I woke up and realized that I was no longer the person who I was a short time ago. I began caring for people, I started caring about what I do for a living, I started loving my fellow man. I started being concerned about what was going on around me. It was like I was reborn! I then accepted Jesus Christ as my savior, and I knew that with all the research, all the learning, He had already accepted me. He accepted me before I even knew what He was all about, He accepted me the day He went to the cross and died for me and for you. Folks in this day what would it hurt to just try, just give it a shot. We all want to fill that void in our hearts and in our bodies and you know the one I am talking about. The void you have tried to fill with alcohol, drugs, anger, and hatred. And you are finding out that nothing is working! It leads us to depression, anxiety, and for some to suicide. If you feel you have no where else to look or no where else go, try my suggestion. God. Jesus Christ. Do a little research with an open mind, try what the Word says, and you too will come to know Christ and I guarantee you that you will feel better, care more, and love again. Email me if you need a little boost; email me anytime; email me here: moderndad@gmail.com, I will be more than happy to help you get to where you want to be, where Jesus Christ wants you to be. I asked for prayer that I would not lose my DSL connection this week because I am unable to pay the bill when it was due. And some did, I did, and here I am. I am telling you that the best drug you can take for what you are feeling is Jesus Christ. All you have to do is pray this simple prayer “Jesus I know I am a sinner and I repent for my sins. I open my heart to You, that You come into my life and help me, walk with me. Please Lord walk with me and guide me. I accept You as my Savior, as I know you have already accepted me, Thank you” Amen. That is all there is to it folks. Believe in Him because He already believes in you.

1 Peter 1:6-7

6– So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while.

7- These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold–and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

My prayer for you is to have a glorious Wednesday, and I pray Jesus Christ is with you as your co-pilot, as your friend as you go through the trials tomorrow brings. When you feel depressed or anxious look to Christ and ask Him to relieve you of these feelings and it will be done. Ask and you shall receive! Wow, that is powerful! All you have to do ask, in Christs name, and He will do it. Because He loves you with a love that is mightier than all evil, accept the shield God has provided you. Just say yes!

Breastplate of Righteousness

The Breastplate of Righteousness is the Righteousness of Jesus in you. What does this mean to you? This righteousness of Jesus in you means that Jesus Christ, for you, took all your sins to the cross with Him and sacrificed himself for your sins; He sacrificed himself as payment in full for your sins. We are nothing without Jesus in our lives, all we are is a bunch of sinners. That’s it, but through Jesus Christ we can live, and are not destined for death.

Psalms 100:3
Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture

Jesus Christ and His blood cleansed us from sin; He shed His blood on the cross for you and I. The cross freed us from bondage, and our intended or unintended selfish nature.

Watch the following scripture very closely:

Romans 3:23-24

23- For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24- Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins.

Let’s look at this closely, “For all have sinned…” if everyone has sinned, in God’s eyes we, standind alone, are not worthy of His grace. “…all fall short of God’s glorious standards…” wow, with statement alone it appears we are all doomed to death. However we, as believers, have Jesus Christ in our corner; “Yet now God in his gracious kindness declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins.”

How many people do you know who would go and be crucified on a cross for your sins, and only ask that you believe? I personally only know one, and that is Jesus Christ. You and I know people who care so much for others that they would literally give the shirt off their back if someone needed it, but even they can not make be forgiven of their sins except through Christ. Are you that way? If you are not, you should be. Look what Jesus Christ did, He died on the cross, and not only that but He died on the cross in the same way as if we were ever sentenced to death and put on a cross until death. The point I am trying to make here, is that crucifixion is a very slow and painful process, not quick at all. Yes, Jesus Christ is the Son of God and could have uttered a few words to stop the pain, and the agony but He did not. Jesus Christ went to the cross totally without sin, that is important. Jesus Christ is the only man who could have died for our sins because He was without sin. A sinner cannot die for other’s sins, but a sinner can be granted forgiveness for his sins by confessing those sins in the name of Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:20-21

20– I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. So I live my life in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21- I am not one of those who treats the grace of God as meaningless. For if we could be saved by keeping the law, then there was no need for Christ to die.

Do you see how powerful this is? As long as Christ lives inside you, inside your heart, and you carry Him where ever you go, then you too shall live.

Philippians 3:8-10

8- Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I may have Christ 9- and become one with him. I no longer count on my own goodness or my ability to obey God’s law, but I trust Christ to save me. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. 10- As a result, I can really know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead. I can learn what it means to suffer with Him, sharing in his death,…

Live life, walking in God’s Word, live your life knowing that you wear The Breastplate of Righteousness, and you will find yourself a successful, happy, caring, and a loving person. What is better than that. I know too many people in this day who are sad, miserable, uncaring (except for themselves), and thinking life is unfair. Jesus Christ can balance that for you, if you will just let Him. With Christ in your life you can do anything.

Tomorrow I will go into the Sandals of Peace.

God Bless each and everyone of you, I will pray that your Saturday will be full of great things, and that you will find the breastplate of righteousness and start wearing it.
